As a CUT Lounge Photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing a high-end happy hour during the Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles. This 29th annual conference brought together leaders across health, finance, business, technology, philanthropy, and public policy.
Each year, the conference draws prominent figures from across the world. This year, guests gathered in Beverly Hills to connect, network, and share ideas. Throughout the week, conversations moved across industries and created space for powerful new relationships.
During the conference, HSBC hosted an elegant cocktail reception for top financial executives, clients, and company leaders. As a British universal bank and financial services group, HSBC has a strong global presence. Therefore, this happy hour brought together a dynamic crowd with deep ties to finance and business.

The reception took place at CUT Lounge, located inside the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel. With its polished design, moody lighting, and upscale atmosphere, the lounge created the perfect setting for a sophisticated evening in Beverly Hills.
As guests arrived, the room quickly filled with energy. Finance executives, HSBC leaders, and clients moved through the space while enjoying passed hors d’oeuvres and signature branded cocktails. Meanwhile, conversations flowed from business updates to personal stories and shared laughs.
The atmosphere felt refined, yet lively. In addition, the intimate layout of CUT Lounge encouraged guests to gather closely, making the evening feel both exclusive and warm.

For events like this, photography should do more than document who attended. It should also capture how the event felt.
Throughout the evening, I focused on candid conversations, warm greetings, natural laughter, and the small details that shaped the guest experience. Every handshake, toast, and smile helped tell a fuller story of the night.
Because the room stayed packed from start to finish, there was always a meaningful moment to capture. Guests mingled easily, and as the night progressed, the tone shifted from formal networking to genuine connection.

This happy hour brought together industry leaders in a beautiful Beverly Hills setting. More importantly, it created space for real conversation, memorable moments, and lasting relationships.
