AFR Showroom: Open House

It was a blast capturing this AFR Open House Photography! AFR Furniture Rental is the one of the largest furniture rental companies in the event industry. They have a wide selection of every type of furnishing you could possible need. They hosted an event industry open house at their showroom in Los Angeles. It was a beautiful way to showcase all of the lovely new collections they added to their catalogue!

I could not get over this DJ dance floor. Isn’t it swanky? It was almost like an optical illusion, standing on the glass and looking downward. I imagine the coolness factor only multiplies after a few cocktails….

And speaking of cocktails, there were many exciting beverages for guests to enjoy, including a cocktail mixing demo! More on that later.

In addition to swanky beverages, their partnered catering company rolled out a custom experience for attendees. They offer “room service” and arrive at your door with a gourmet chef and set up a fine dining experience–in your backyard! I thought this was such a cool concept. Their chefs have everything they need to deliver the service, including flatware, furniture, and of course, top notch catering! The desserts were a work of art. Judge for yourself….

Guest Arrival and Networking

After set up was complete, it was time for guests to begin arriving! I was glad to recognize many friendly faces within the Southern California event industry. I also met several new ones. Everyone had a great time, enjoying all of the food and drink, music, checking out the furniture, enjoying the photo booth, and getting to network!

AFR Warehouse Tour

After guests had enjoyed some mingling, AFR led a tour of their warehouse. I was shocked by how large their warehouse space was; and it still only hosted a small fraction of their catalogue! So much goes into every aspect of an event, even the selections we take for granted as guests. I marveled at their selection…and their friendliness of their warehouse workers! It was a happy place.

A lesson in Cocktail Mixing

This was such a fun part of the event. Guests learned how to create custom cocktails, complete with all of the tools they needed to whip the cocktail foam! There was definitely a learning curve and lots of laughter when things went awry.

I think after the workshop, all guests decided it was best to leave the drink mixing to the professionals. And the professionals had a few tricks up their sleeve….

Raffle Time!

To wrap a wonderful evening, AFR raffled off amazing prices from their sponsors. Prizes included spas and massage packages, hotel stays, and more! I think we were all jealous of the winners.
