Secretly, D invited K’s closest friends and family to The Red Room, an intimate and stylish private event space at Catch Steak LA. She wanted to ensure the evening would be full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Event producer Lia Lara designed a swanky, bourbon room-inspired event space, both eye-catching and upscale.

An Elaborate Ruse: The 2024 Black Tech Gala

For months, D had hatched this plan in secret. She had a friend convince K he was attending the 2024 Black Tech Gala. K had no clue what was in store! D made sure every detail was in place to maintain the element of surprise, including a fake custom invitation. When K arrived, he ascended the iconic red stairs to a poster announcing the black tech gala.

Instead, when K entered, he was met with his closes friends and family members! Everyone shouted “Surprise!” and his kids ran toward him with big smiles, wrapping him in a joyful hug.

Time to Party!

The night was a perfect blend of fun and elegance. D’s close friend spun funky tunes as the DJ, with tracks that kept the crowd on their feet. The dance floor stayed packed, with guests of all ages enjoying the lively atmosphere. Specialty cocktails crafted exclusively for the occasion added a personalized touch. In addition, the exceptional dinner menu ensured everyone enjoyed a feast worthy of the venue’s reputation.

Speeches in honor of the Birthday Boy

One of the most emotional moments of the night came when K’s close friend gave a heartfelt speech. He spoke about how proud he was of K’s growth, not just professionally but as a person.
